Membership Status: Annual Renewal Time
1. Jun 1, 2010 - New Fiscal Year for Bellaire Democrats
The new fiscal year of Bellaire Democrats began June 1, 2010, and ends May 31, 2011. During this next fiscal year Texans will elect Bill White Governor of Texas; Harris County residents will elect Diane Trautman Tax Assessor-Collector/Voter Registrar; and informed voters will elect Democrats to office all around our area. This is the time for us to seize the moment, and simply VOTE. If Democrats show up at the polls, there is no one who can stop us.
Please be an active, informed voter this coming election cycle. Renewing your membership in Bellaire Democrats, or joining for the first time, is a way to help you stay informed, and a way to help us get the vote out in November.

2. Jul 3, 2010 - Independence Day Parade in Bellaire
Please join your friends and neighbors and participate with Bellaire Democrats in the Independence Day Parade in Bellaire, TX on Saturday, July 3, 2010, 9:00 am. We will meet in the parking lot at Bellaire Triangle Shopping Center (Bissonnet St - Chimney Rock Rd - Bellaire Blvd). The parade begins promptly at 9:30 am, and goes very quickly. We will be tossing red, white & blue beads to the parade watchers, and playing some great music through our lead vehicle’s loud speakers. If you feel you cannot walk the parade route, we have a vintage Cadillac convertible in which you can ride!
We especially invite all Democratic candidates and elected officials, as well as other Democratic Club members to join us in the parade. (Other Clubs: If you would like to carry your Club banner with us in the parade, please do. The more the better!) Please be sure to RSVP as noted below.
Everyone please contact President Margo Kendrick at agabee@aol.com or (713) 665-4409 to let her know you will be participating in the parade. Please provide your name, and the number of people in your group. We will have plenty of cold water available during the parade. Please RSVP as soon as possible, so we can have ample supply of beads to toss, Democrat signs to carry and water to drink!
3. Bill White and other Democratic Candidates If you would like to volunteer to help any Democratic candidate with his/her campaign, please contact Bellaire Democrats for contact information. If you need yard signs or bumper stickers for any Democratic candidate, Bellaire Democrats will pick up the materials and deliver them to your home.
4. No Bellaire Democrats meetings during the summer months
As is our tradition, there will be no General Meetings of Bellaire Democrats during the summer months of June and July 2010. We will keep you informed as to the next meeting date, which will be in either August or September 2010.

a). The current fiscal year of Bellaire Democrats is June 1, 2010 through May 31, 2011. If you see a notation at top of this E-mail indicating that your membership is not current, you may go to www.BellaireDemocrats.org to obtain a membership form. Our dues are based on your ability to pay (starting as low as $5 per year).
b). We keep our E-mail transmissions to one per month, unless a special need arises. Please note that members’ contact information and E-mail addresses are kept confidential, and are not provided to outside parties.
c). Please visit www.BellaireDemocrats.org for information about Bellaire area precincts, as well as information about upcoming events and activities. You will also find links to Harris County Democratic Party (www.HCDP.org), Harris County Clerk (www.HarrisVotes.com) and other helpful web pages.
